Tradie website cost in Australia: the 2026 price guide

A trade website in Australia is a one-off build cost plus a small monthly. What I see local agencies charge for a proper trade website is $2,000 to $5,000. tyso publishes fixed prices instead: $1,490 for a standalone three to five page trade site, $1,990 for Found & Chosen, which adds your Google Business Profile and a review engine, and care from $49 a month after launch.

Written by Tyson Farrington, who runs tyso from Canberra. Every price on this page is a real tyso price, and the one market figure is what I see quoted around me, not a study.

What does a tradie website cost in Australia?

A three to five page trade website, built properly and owned by you, costs $1,490 to $5,000 in Australia in 2026. tyso sits at the bottom of that bracket at $1,490 for a standalone build. Local agencies quoting the same job typically land between $2,000 and $5,000, and that is what I see in this market rather than a published study.

The build price is only half the question. The other half is what you own at the end and what it costs each month to keep the thing alive. Both are below, with numbers.

What changes the price?

Four things move the price of a trade website: how many pages it needs, whether the copy and photos already exist, whether it is a fresh build or a rescue of a site that is already there, and whether search work is included. Page count matters least. Content and search work matter most, because that is where the hours go.

Page count

Three to five pages covers most trades: home, services, the areas you work, about, contact. A page per service and per real service area costs more and is usually worth it once the basics are ranking.

Copy and photos

This is the slow part, and it is almost always what holds a build up. If you have neither, someone has to write the words and get the photos, and that is hours on top of the build itself.

Fresh build or rescue

A site that already ranks is often cheaper to fix than to replace. The tyso SEO fix sprint for an existing site is $1,200 for up to six pages, or $1,800 for something larger.

Search work

A website nobody finds is a brochure. The Google Business Profile, local SEO and AI-search groundwork are what turn a site into something that produces enquiries, and they are priced separately or bundled in.

What does a website cost to run each month?

Running a trade website means hosting, security, backups and small changes. tyso care starts at $49 a month, which covers hosting plus up to 30 minutes of batched changes. Care+ is $99 a month and adds review management and a monthly report. Growth is $249 a month and adds RelayX instant lead response with up to 500 SMS a month.

Care plans cancel anytime and the site stays yours either way. That is the test worth applying to anyone's monthly: if cancelling costs you the website, you were renting it.

What does tyso charge?

Every tyso price is fixed and published rather than quoted on request. A standalone three to five page trade website is $1,490, half to book and half on launch. Found & Chosen is $1,990 flat and adds the Google Business Profile, the review engine and the local search groundwork, live in 14 days from content day or your money back.

Standalone trade website

$1,490 one-off

Three to five pages, built to turn a visit into a call, owned by you outright. 50% deposit to book, 50% on launch.

Get Found

From $690

The Google Business Profile rebuilt, a review system running, and the local search basics done. No website in this one.

Found & Chosen

$1,990 flat

The website you own outright, the Google Business Profile done for you, the review engine, and the local SEO and AI-search groundwork. Live in 14 days from content day or your money back. Care $49 a month from launch.

The Growth Engine

$4,950 install, then $497 a month

For established trades already getting four or more enquiries a month. Double your documented enquiries within 90 days or every dollar comes back. Twelve-month minimum.

Website SEO fix sprint

$1,200 or $1,800

For a site that already exists and is not being found. $1,200 covers up to six pages, $1,800 covers something larger.

Deep Audit

$490

The full read on your website, your Google profile and your AI-search visibility, credited in full against any build within 60 days.

Care plans

$49, $99 or $249 a month

Care is hosting plus up to 30 minutes of batched changes. Care+ adds review management and a monthly report. Growth adds RelayX instant lead response, up to 500 SMS a month.

The two packages have pages of their own: Found & Chosen for a trade getting nothing from Google, and the Growth Engine for one already getting enquiries and wanting double. Not sure which, book a call and I will tell you straight.

How do you avoid getting burned?

Three questions settle it before you pay anybody. Who owns the website once the invoice is paid? What happens to it if you stop paying the monthly? And how much is due before any work starts? If the answers are their company, you lose it, and all of it up front, keep looking.

Deposits

A deposit is normal. Paying the lot up front is not. tyso takes 50% to book and 50% on launch, and on the guaranteed packages your money sits untouched until the work is delivered.

Who owns it

You should end up owning the website, the domain and the Google Business Profile, which is created under your own Google account. A site on a platform you rent is not an asset, it is a subscription with your name on it.

Lock-in

Read the exit clause before you read the price. Care plans should cancel anytime. The one exception here is the Growth Engine, which runs a twelve-month minimum because the money-back guarantee runs on the same clock.

Rented leads

Paying a directory for leads is not the same as owning the machine that produces them. Stop paying and you have nothing. Finish paying off a site and you still have the site, the profile and the number.

Questions

How much should a tradie pay for a website in Australia?

Between $1,490 and $5,000 for a real three to five page site you own outright. tyso charges $1,490 for a standalone build and $1,990 for Found & Chosen, which adds the Google Business Profile, a review engine and local search groundwork. Local agencies I see quoting the same work usually land between $2,000 and $5,000.

Why do quotes for the same website vary so much?

Because the word website covers two different products. One is a template with your logo dropped in, built in an afternoon, usually on a platform you rent. The other is pages written for your trade and your suburbs, wired into Google, built to turn a visit into a call. The second takes days, not hours, and that is the whole gap.

Do I need a website if I already have a Google profile?

The profile gets you found. The website decides whether you get chosen. People who find your profile still look at the site before they call, and what they find there settles it. If you can only do one thing first, do the profile: the tyso Get Found package starts at $690 and builds it properly without a website.

What does a tradie website cost to run each month?

Hosting, security, backups and small changes. tyso care starts at $49 a month, covering hosting plus up to 30 minutes of batched changes. Care+ is $99 a month and adds review management and a monthly report. Growth is $249 a month and adds RelayX instant lead response with up to 500 SMS. Care plans cancel anytime and the site stays yours.

Is a cheap template website worth it?

Only as a placeholder. A template on a rented platform disappears the day you stop paying, so it is a subscription rather than an asset. If it is going to be your shopfront, the test is ownership: you should end up owning the site, the domain and the Google profile, with nothing you have to keep renting.

How long does a tradie website take to build?

Found & Chosen is live within 14 days or your money back, and that clock starts the day you hand over photos and content, not the day you sign. Live means the site is on your domain, the Google profile is fully built with verification lodged, and the review engine is running. The slow part is almost never the build.

Do I own the website?

Yes. Everything tyso builds is owned by the client outright: the website, the domain, and the Google Business Profile, which is created under your own Google account. There is no lock-in contract and no rented platform. Cancel the care plan and the site is still yours, and you can take it anywhere.

Is SEO included in the price of a website?

A standalone $1,490 build is the website itself, not the Google profile, the review engine or the local search work. Found & Chosen at $1,990 includes all of it. If you already have a site that is not being found, the fix sprint is $1,200 for up to six pages and $1,800 for anything larger.
